FEATURED WEDDING: Maddii and Evan
When I met with Maddii and Evan for the first time, they told me that they didn't want the "usual" kind of engagement session. After some brainstorming, we came up with the idea for them to create a unique work of art for their wedding by having a paint fight! How cool is that?! That is one hard thing to top, but their wedding day did not disappoint. I walk in my jaw dropped (and I have seen a LOT of weddings, so that is a serious accomplishment). Besides having absolutely stunning details everywhere you looked (shout out to the team at Chic Concepts!), Maddii and Evan's day was filled with cool unique touches like a typewrite poet, ice cream stand, little donut towers, house music, a get-away school bus, and even some night time hooping. There was something gorgeous, or yummy, or cool at every turn. I was doing little happy dances behind my camera all day!
FEATURED ENGAGEMENT SESSION: Jesse and Homer
I had the absolute honor to photograph these two amazingly sweet, warm, and handsome young men for their engagement portrait session at the McNay Museum of Art, recently. The color, the love--woah!!
FEATURED BAT MITZVAH: Lena
I have been working with this amazing family for several years now and remember Lena as a tiny little girl. I am so honored to have been there to capture this important weekend for her and her family and see the amazing and beautiful young woman she has become. Services were at Temple Beth El with the Party at the Tobin Center. Extra bonus for having the amazing Keri with The Event Assistant as their planner.
FEATURED NEWBORN SESSION: Leighton
This tiny little sweetheart came in for her newborn session recently and was such a doll! She was so great at letting us pose her every which way and even gave us a few adorable little smirks.
FEATURED SENIOR SESSION: Elliot
I photographed this handsome young man for his Bar Mitzvah a few years back and am blown away by how quickly he grew into a senior graduating from High School! This was such a fun session at one of my favorite locations: The 1850 Settlement.
FEATURED FAMILY SESSION: Crews Family
I have been sweet little Lilly's photographer at her school for a while now, and it was so awesome to finally meet mom and dad and do this adorable family portrait session for them. How cute can you get?! We did these out at one of my favorite spots, The Cibolo Nature Center.
FEATURED MATERNITY SESSION: Amber
This gorgeous lady was a stunning bride and now I am so excited to see her as a glowing mommy! Amber and Matt are a couple of the most chill and sweet people I know and if anyone can be awesome parents, I know they will be. This session at the JW Marriott was SO fun and beautiful.
FEATURED ENGAGEMENT SESSION: Carley and Troy
What a fun couple! We had such a great time out at the Cibolo Nature Center for their session, laughing and playing and teasing Carley about bossing Troy around too much. These two just fill their portraits warmth and love!
FEATURED BRIDAL SESSION: Allie
This lady looks like a model! And I guess she kind of is one, too--we met when she volunteered to wear a (different) wedding gown as a favor to her friend. I was photographing a styled shoot for that friend's new wedding venue, and Allie got to be my "bride". Her portrait turned out so beautiful that the Wedding Guide chose it for a COVER! Flash forward to the real deal and Allie looks even MORE amazing in her actual wedding gown. I can't even describe how much I love this stunning gown, her hair, the veil--it all works so perfectly together and is set off so nicely with the Japanese Tea Gardens in the background.
FEATURED STYLE SESSION: Nathan
Full disclosure--I know nothing about golf. But this guy taught me a thing or two and we had a BLAST at the Sonterra Golf Club for his Style Session. These pictures were so fun and we got to use them for all sorts of cool custom designs for his Golf Themed Bar Mitzvah.
FEATURED WEDDING: Sarah and Chris
I was only 5 days away from giving birth (though I didn't know quite how close I was at the time!) at this wedding and thought all those crazy stairs at the Kendall Plantation might just kill me...but this will always be one of my favorite weddings. Sarah and Chris are so sweet and beautiful (inside and out) and their whole day was just perfect. The weather was just right, the venue looked amazing, their wedding party was fun, their guests were cool, all the details came together perfectly...it was exactly the kind of wedding that everyone dreams about! My favorite planner, Keri with The Event Assistant was on hand to make it all happen, too!
